چکیده
Introduction: Cesarean delivery is a major obstetrical surgicalprocedure aiming to save the lives of mothers and fetuses. The incidence cesarean section varies between 10.0% and25.0% in most developed countries.1Material Methods: 80 cases for elective sectionadmitted ward/labour room Department Obstt andGynae, SRMSIMS were studied determine incidenceof infectious morbidity, i.e., UTI, SSI, puerperal sepsis andendometritis on different occasions that are immediatepostoperatively, 48 hours post-operative, discharge (4–5thday) upto 6 weeks post-partum.Preoperative routine blood urine examination doneto recruit low-risk patients.Preoperative part preparation with betadine was done nightbefore surgery, followed by intraurethral catheterization 3swabs under all aseptic precautions. Results: There relationship timing ofadministration prophylactic antibiotics infectiousmorbidity. On comparing demographic factors concerninginfectious statistically significant p-value wasobserved women's age, parity BMI.Conclusion: Single dose shouldbe effective if given within 30 minutes skin incision anelective section, especially women mean age26.2 ± 4.2 years, low BMI 24.9±2.4(kg/m2). The neonatal outcome not much affected givingprophylactic before cord clamping. Despite ofprophylactic technique during intraurethralcatheterization check dressing at postoperativelyof surgical site important factor preventinginfectious morbidity.

Cesarean Section and Prophylactic Antibiotics
Infectious morbidity remains a leading cause of postoperative complications following caesarean delivery. The major infectious complications of caesarean delivery are fever, wound infection, endometritis and urinary tract infection. Postoperative surgical site infection remains a major source of illness and a less frequent cause of death in the surgical patient. The administration of prophylact...
متن کاملComparison of Short Vs. Long Half-Life Single-Dose Prophylactic Antibiotics for Cesarean Section
OBJECTIVE Numerous studies demonstrate the efficacy of antibiotic prophylaxis for reducing postcesarean section infectious morbidity. The duration of therapy, however, remains controversial. Cost containment measures and the ease of single dosing have led to the introduction of "extended" half-life agents for cesarean-section chemoprophylaxis. We tested the hypothesis that there was no differen...

متن کامل[Neonatal Morbidity in Term Newborns Born by Elective Cesarean Section].
INTRODUCTION International guidelines suggest that non-urgent planned deliveries be scheduled at or after 39 weeks. Despite this recommendation elective cesarean often occurs before 39 weeks. Some research has demonstrated that elective cesarean before 39 weeks poses a greater risk to the infants than at or after 39 weeks. OBJECTIVE To evaluate neonatal morbidity in term newborns born by elec...
